Ronnie Mandal, DO currently is a clinical professor in the department of Internal Medicine at Midwestern University at both AZ and IL campuses and a private practitioner at Swedish Covenant Hospital in the north side of Chicago, Illinois.  

Dr. Mandal earned his undergraduate degree at Loyola University of Chicago, IL. He completed his first postgraduate degree at the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, IL and obtained a Master’s in Clinical Laboratory Science. He then obtained his Certificate in Health Law, Master’s in Business Administration, and Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Ft Lauderdale, FL. He completed both his internship and residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, IL. Program. He is board certified by both the ABIM and AOBIM in both Internal Medicine and Hospital Focused Medicine specialties. 

Dr. Mandal has a strong interest in medical education and disease prevention. He has served as the Traditional Year Residency Program Director, Assistant Internal Medicine Residency Program Director, and the Internal Medicine Residency Program Director while at Swedish Covenant Hospital in addition to medical directorships in various local nursing homes and hospital medical executive committees. 

Dr. Mandal has multiple media appearances including; ABC WORLD NEWS TONIGHT W DAVID MUIR television interview  6/1/21, ABC7 television interview 5/25/21 “covid updates”,  WGN/CLTV News” health & the weather” television interview 6/09, “Tylenol Safety” article interview as seen in associated press (MSN.com,Chicago Tribune/Sun-times,over 30 news outlets in U.S.) 7/09, Well Magazine: 7/09 and 9/09 articles on “Body Habitus/health and the benefits of wine”, - multiple articles online and radio as found on google/various search engines and appeared live on the NBC Morning news in 2/12. He was voted by the Chicago Reader Magazine as “Best Primary Care Doctor 2023” in the best of Chicago edition.
